More than a job
At Ablewell, care is personal. We're a local team based at Green Street Mill in Macclesfield, and we've been supporting families in our community for over a decade. We employ local people, so you'll be caring for people in your own community.
We keep our teams small and local, so you'll get to know your clients properly and see the difference you make every day. You'll have an experienced management team behind you, regular check-ins, and colleagues who are always happy to help.
We do it for you
Every person is treated as an individual, with dignity and kindness. That includes our team.
We do it well
We invest in training so you feel confident and proud of the care you give.
We do it together
You'll never be on your own. Support is always a phone call away.
What does a Care Assistant do?
As a Care Assistant, you'll visit people in their own homes and help them live safely, comfortably and independently. No two days are the same, but your visits might include:
-
Helping someone get washed, dressed and ready for the day
-
Preparing meals and drinks
-
Supporting with medication
-
Light housework and shopping
-
Going along to appointments
-
Simply spending time together: a chat, a cup of tea, a familiar face
For many of the people we support, you'll be one of the most important people in their week.
Local Support, where we work
Work close to home
We're recruiting Care Assistants across our three local areas. We'll do our best to plan your visits close to where you live, so you spend less time travelling and more time with the people you support.
